Severe experimental Mg deficiency in the rat induces after a few days a clinical inflammatory syndrome characterized by PMN and macrophage activation, release of inflammatory cytokines and acute phase proteins, excessive production of free radicals. Increasing Mg concentration decreases inflammatory response while reduction in the extracellular Mg results in cell activation. <strong>Because Mg acts as a natural calcium antagonist, the molecular basis for inflammatory response is probably the result of modulation of intracellular calcium concentration. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mg deficiency contributes to an exaggerated response to immune stress, hyperlipemia, atherosclerosis,endothelial dysfunction, thrombosis, hypertension and free radical damages. Moreover activated endothelium facilitates adhesion and migration of cancer cells. Plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont \u00e0 ce jour montr\u00e9 que le calcium de l&rsquo;eau est aussi bien absorb\u00e9 que le calcium du lait ! Mais on est loin de tout savoir sur les m\u00e9canismes d&rsquo;absorption, notamment parce qu&rsquo;on n&rsquo;attache pas assez d&rsquo;importance \u00e0 la forme sous laquelle les min\u00e9raux sont pr\u00e9sents dans l&rsquo;eau. Les sels qui contiennent ces min\u00e9raux, sulfates et bicarbonates en particulier jouent eux aussi leur r\u00f4le et peuvent modifier l&rsquo;absorption des min\u00e9raux. C&rsquo;est une histoire de chimie entre anions et cations. Une \u00e9tude a par exemple montr\u00e9 qu&rsquo;une eau riche en sodium n&rsquo;a pas le m\u00eame impact sur la pression art\u00e9rielle si le sodium qu&rsquo;elle contient est pr\u00e9sent sous forme de chlorure ou de bicarbonate.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Un peu de chimie<\/span> :<\/strong> les eaux min\u00e9rales contiennent des cations (charge positive) et des anions (charge n\u00e9gative). Les anions et les cations se regroupent en compos\u00e9s chimiques. L\u2019exemple le plus connu de compos\u00e9 chimique form\u00e9 avec un anion et un cation est le chlorure de sodium qui est le sel de cuisine. Le chlorure de sodium<strong> NaCl<\/strong> est form\u00e9 avec le cation <strong>Na+<\/strong> et l&rsquo;anion <strong>Cl-<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Une eau min\u00e9rale contient un ensemble de min\u00e9raux. Comme le rappelle l\u2019interview ci-dessus, les m\u00e9canismes d\u2019actions de tous ces min\u00e9raux sont complexes et vont varier en fonction des gens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Boire une eau tr\u00e8s min\u00e9ralis\u00e9e peut avoir des effets n\u00e9gatifs si on en consomme sur une longue p\u00e9riode.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Se baigner a-t-il un effet sur la sant\u00e9 ?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Certains pensent qu\u2019en se baignant dans une eau contenant du magn\u00e9sium, une partie peut \u00eatre absorb\u00e9e par la peau. Aucune \u00e9tude scientifique s\u00e9rieuse n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 conduite pour \u00e9tudier ce point. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">En principe la barri\u00e8re de la peau n\u2019est pas franchissable par les min\u00e9raux au cours d\u2019un bain.
